Kim Nowlan

Kim is a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association.

In addition to a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Kim holds a Bachelor of Education degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English and French. She spent 12 years as a teacher in New Brunswick and two years teaching in South Korea.

Her passion for helping youth with mental health concerns developed throughout her years as a high school teacher, seeing firsthand the need for qualified mental health professionals capable of connecting with youth.

Kim has worked as a school counsellor for children and youth since 2016, and she has formed a private practice to offer her counselling skills beyond her school community. Kim currently provides individual therapy to youth and adults who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and other mental health challenges. She offers both in-office and online sessions as needed by clients.

Kim grew up on Prince Edward Island and currently resides in New Brunswick with her husband and two daughters. She finds joy in spending time with family and friends, nature, reading, travelling, creative endeavors and helping others.
